I'm always being asked about how to get a higher ranking on search engines. I'm going to post a few ideas and suggestions here making it easier for you to manage.

Content is KING!! There are no tricks or short cuts to getting a good ranking, just good quality content, and a bit of work on the 'code' of the site.

You want targeted, specific customers who genuinely want to buy your product / service. Think less visitors and more sales.

That's just!! When to do your key word research?

Ideally you should do the research before you even buy a domain name!!! This will help you to :

See if there is a market for your product / service / information

find a high value domain name and plan your content for the site.

But you can do the research whenever and work backwards (to be honest, this is what most people do if they even do this at all)!!

You should also carry out this research whenever you add more content to the site. This will help to keep the content fresh and help you to grow the site and possibly develop into new areas.

What is a key word?

The first thing to understand is that a key word can be more than 1 word

Remember, quality, relevant, specific good quality content is king.
